JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result: The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination was conducted in January 2026 for engineering aspirants across India. The exam took place on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) was held in two shifts from January 21 to 24 — the first shift from 9 AM to 12 Noon and the second shift from 3 PM to 6 PM. Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) was conducted on January 29 in a single shift from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional answer key on February 4, and the objection window closed on February 6, 2026. The Session 1 result will be declared on February 16, 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam Dates

The Session 1 examination was held on the following dates:

January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2026

  • From January 21 to 24, the exam was conducted in two shifts per day for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech):
    • First Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
    • Second Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • On January 29, 2026, Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) was conducted in a single shift:
    • 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

The examination was conducted in computer-based mode at various centres across the country.

Provisional Answer Key Released

After the completion of the exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional answer key on February 4, 2026.

Candidates were allowed to:

  • Check their recorded responses
  • Match answers with the provisional key
  • Raise objections if they found any discrepancy

The objection window remained open till February 6, 2026. Students had to submit their challenges online along with the required fee.

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result Date

As per the official schedule, the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result will be declared on February 16, 2026.

The result will include:

  • NTA Score (Percentile)
  • Subject-wise percentile
  • Overall percentile
  • All India Rank (after final normalization)
  • Qualification status for JEE Advanced (if eligible)

Candidates will be able to download their scorecard from the official website using their application number and date of birth.

What Happens After the Result?

After the result announcement:

  • Qualified candidates can prepare for JEE Advanced 2026
  • Others can wait for Session 2 of JEE Main 2026
  • Counselling process (JoSAA) will begin later for seat allocation in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs
